Knott's and Disney keep moving on new attractions

Posted | Contributed by James Disney

Knott's Berry Farm is continuing to prepare the Xcelerator construction site. The two tower footers are beginning to take shape, and the previously mis-identified equipment pit is also taking shape. Ghostrider has finished its short rehab and the roof over the drop has been extended.

Over at The Disneyland Resort they are continuing site preparation for both Tower of Terror and Flik's Fun Fair. Markers have been placed on the tower site, steel and land moving equipment have also arrived. In Disneyland, the Haunted Mansion has reopened after it's long conversion back into the classic ride after the "Haunted Mansion Holiday." They are also continuing the extensive rehab on Splash Mountain.

Is it me or is that lot a tad smaller than average Intamins?
When are they gonna start vertical construction?
Once again great pics, but what is up with the ending; did someone piss you off? Other then that last part good pics.

Great pics Jim!  I loved the ending- don't you hate when that happens?

I've got a long standing policy of not allowing inter-site trash talking here, and I'm not going to bend on it. Real or not, this just isn't the place for it guys... please don't air the laundry here. Thanks!

Just what are Disney doing with Splash Mountain?
HUGE rehab... including the possibility of adding some sort of restraint system on the logs.  I've heard everything from seat belts to over the shoulder restraints... but at last I'd heard, they hadn't made and final choice.  The entire mountain is being re-landscaped and painted... not exactly sure what if anything they're doing to the show scenes... or if they're just painting them.
