Knott's 06 improvement?

When does Knott's annouce their 06 plans? All the other CF parks have made their annoucements.
They already did. They are getting a Johnny Rocket's and a new Proslide Tornado for Soak City.
Are they getting a new Proslide Tornado at their Soak City next to Knotts or is one of the other two?

Huh?
Is that a temporary installation?

It's permanently temporary.

No, wait, it's temporarily permament.

Either that or one of the other two. :)

Where are they putting the Johnney Rocket?
I believe it's going where Sharky's was...?
So where's Sharky?

I believe the Johnny Rocket is some sort of space-age toilet cleaning device.

I saw an infomercial or something... :)

eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww :)

...Although it reminds me of the seashells in Demolition Man. :D

Although I love Johnny Rockets and I know it will be a big hit with guests as a dining option in the park, I really just don't understand the justification of bringing that to Knott's - especially in the location they're placing it. Knott's already introduced a 1950's walk-in diner concept at the park in '99 in the Boardwalk area (Coasters), which is the same themed area where they are intending to install the Johnny Rockets restaurant.
It's CF, Sooner or later they will trash the Knotts Jelly and Chicken dinners in favor of Taco Bell.

Sorry, CF IMHO doesn't necessaraly IMPROVE parks.
Chuck

Could be worse, could be Six Flags...
LOL Do you guys think family owned parks like Kennywood are better than chain parks (CF, SF etc)?
I personally loved Knott's myself. I really like Kennywood, don't get me wrong, and Phantom is great, while the woodies are decent.

But Knott's is probably my favorite or 2nd favorite park overall. Yeah, it is second, right after Dollywood.

I think you'll often find that to be the opinion among enthusiasts.

I personally tend to be more forgiving, but it takes WAY more than some 'big rollie coasters' to make a good park and often the smaller, family run parks offer it in spades.

Gonch, You have a point and I fully realize to draw the crowds needed to keep the stockholders happy, The big parks have to do something different.

I can't comment on Knotts but on the other CF parks I've been to, One thing they seem to be doing is destroying some of the parks natural charm.

This of course also excludes Mich Adventure which had nowhere to go but improvment.

Chuck, who was just tickled pink to get grilled corn on the cob in a wooded 1700's setting at CP in the 1990's

Yep, add Knott's to that list Charles.

Although Knott's is a much better run park than any Six Flags park, that's unfortunately not saying much. It's now got some of the same pissed off teenagers working the rides, and the charm is all but gone.

I still enjoy it, but one visit per year is enough for me, and I NEVER used to say that. *** Edited 11/21/2005 6:07:36 AM UTC by DWeaver***

I see more line jumping at Knott's now than at Magic Mountain, and that's saying something!

Stupid log flume families...
