Knoebles Twister

i just saw on Americas Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills: The Next Generation video that knoebles bought the original Elich Gardens Mister Twister and moved and rebuilt it, is this true?

That was the original plan, but it didn't work out.  Knoebel's ended up designing their own version based on the plans from Mister Twister.

If I am not mistaken, isn't there a bolt in Knoebels Twister that came from the original Mr.Twister?

Of those who have ridden both, they say that while Knoebels Twister is a great coaster, it does not match the greatness of the original (however they say it does out do SF Elitch's Twister II which is said to be a very pale shadow of the original).

i am not sure about the bolt, but the lift hill is not a straight up chain lift, you go up, go around, and go up again, then you go around again and go up the rest of the way

The Golden Bolt from Denver is immediately to the left as you first enter the queue on Knoebel's Twister.

I believe they drove that bolt in during the Phoenix Phall Phunfest in 1999.  A nice touch, if you ask me...
