What a deal two handstamps for $17.00 including the Phoenix and Twister!
It was a perfect day at Knoebles on Saturday sunny mid 70's. We started off on the Phoenix we rode the first train again this year the infamous 1st car 3rd row. The Phoenix was running ok air on all the bunny hops and tops of the turnarounds as usual. After a few rides we went to Twister.
Twister was running incredible as usual. Fast and tons of lateral g's in the turns especially entering into the helix. I heard from the staff its already running faster than last seasons fastest 6 seconds to be exact.
The Flyers were our next stop. The snapping of the cables is in full effect this year. If any one has ridden flying scooters at PKD the Flyers are a million times better.
After the Flyers we braved the Haunted Mansion all the props were working perfect as usual. Nothing new in it this year.
After opening late we tried the new ride Power Surge. This is a cool ride. There are 6 arm and 4 seats two on each side of the arm. After the boom starts to lift the seats can spin on their on axis. The boom goes up to about 90 degrees and spins. Its a disorienting ride but still not as bad as a Zipper. I'd say it's equal to Roll o Planes (Salt & Pepper Shakers).
The bumper cars were working great too. Still the original Luss Scooters from the 50's. They hit like tanks. The smell of the electric motors is great.
It was a great day as usual at Knoebles.

Did Power Surge replace Axis?
The Axis is gone. The Power Surge is sitting in its place. The Axis was broke almost all of last season. I heard the problems started when they moved it from it's original spot between Skloosh and 1000 Nachts. It's new position in direct sunlight hurt the computer.
