How crowded is Knoebels on Labor Day? Will it be soo crowded that it would not be worth going? I have never been to Knoebels and would really like to get there before the season is over. What are your opinions on the crowds?
I cannot comment on Labour Day, as I have never been there at that time, but I can say this: Our last trip was on a hot Saturday earlier this month with the parking lots nearly full - and we never had to wait more than twenty minutes for anything. Many in the crowd will be there just for a picnic, or the pool, or to hang out and enjoy the great food (there is no admission charge to the park, after all). As well, ride operation is extremely efficient, with the Phoenix having what has got to be the fastest dispatch times of any (non-wild mouse) coaster in the world. And most importantly, given that Knoebels is one of the absolute best parks anywhere, I would be surprised if there was a bad time to visit ...
I get my first Knoebel's experience during PPP this year...can't wait! Look out if you're in line for the bumper cars, I tend to pick on people wearing FSU merchandise- read the sign-on! ----------------- rollergator - intent on improving the "guest experience" - coming soon to a park near you
Kneobels always has short lines for the rides, yet can get very crowded after 4:00 cuz of the cheaper admissions! But labor day.....i dunno.....
I agree with the above response, get there early in the day. If you've never been, it's worth going just to get on the Phoenix!! I didn't know anything about it when I went and was so surprised! I loved it! SO much air time - did it over and over again... Seemed that only the front had a long line. You have to try the Haunted Mansion, too. There was absolutely no line when I went. Loading and unloading is quick.
I've been going to knoebels my whole life, and the longest lines I've EVER seen there was a saturday back in july of this year, and they still weren't that bad. I've never been there on labor day but I would guess they wouldn't be that bad.
