I was at the recent Independents/Showmans Tradeshow at Gibtown in Florida last week. Dartron Industries had a new ride dubbed the "Downdraft". It is a remanufactured version of the Chance Hurricane. I rode it several times, and I will admit, I was a bit ineasy. It moves quite fast, and DOES NOT have shoulder harnesses. Only a lap bar. They had a sign up of who had purchased the ride for the 2001 season, and at the top of the list was "Knoebels Resort". They have another winner that will fit perfectly in with the Pennsylvania park.
I have to admit, I'm not quite sure what a Hurricane is. As Knoebel's is one of my favorite places on Earth, could you describe the ride a bit?
