Knoebels Extending Operations on Some Attractions

In conjunction with the local volunteer fire company's haunted house, Knoebels will be running the "Haunted Antique Car Ride" and "Phoenix in the Dark" for the remaining Saturday evenings in October. Rides will be on a pay per ride basis, $2.00 for Phoenix and $2.50 for the Car Ride, or a combo ticket for $4.00.

Considering all the great work the park did on both rides, but especially the Car Ride, they should be run for more than one night.

Could this be Knoebels' way of testing the waters for a full-fledged Halloween season?

I was thinking the same thing. Kinda funny that since it's for Halloween the Haunted Mansion isn't open.

Only if the Bumper Cars can be added to the line up!

Could be. This was only our third PPP but we definitely noticed a dramatic improvement in the amount of decorations and people in costumes this year than in the previous two. I only wish the weather could have been a little more cooperative. I for one would welcome an extended season with open arms. I love visting the park in the fall.
Yeah, Haunted mansion don't run for this?

Some fog on and strobes on the Scooters and a wicked ride might be scary!

Go Knoebels!

The mansion runs for a few hours during PPP, Charles. But for the next 3 weeks, it's just Phoenix and the Car Ride, which of course are right next to each other. Makes sense so they can keep people in a limited area of the park. They didn't specifically say anything, but I wonder if they'll have the Phoenix Food Court open, even on a limited basis.

I think if they get a good turnout for this, we might see a few more rides open throughout October next year. Spreading out from Phoenix... Twister, Looper and Flyers first.
