Knoebel's - are school picnic days bad

I see on the Knoebel's site that Saturday May 28th is a "School Picnic" day. Should I avoid going? Does anyone know what these days are like?

Thanks

We were there on a "school picnic day" last year and it wasn't bad. I looked like it was going to be a fiasco when we went to buy our wristbands and busloads of kids were getting them also, but once we started riding, it wasn't bad at all.
As odd as it seems, it can actually work in your favor-----

It keeps a decent amount of people away and then when the school kids leave, which is usually no later then 5 or 6 ,the park is pretty empty and you can get on ride after ride without a long wait. Another thing----the park is open until 10pm this sat.

Oops...... my mistake, i saw your name and thought that you were asking about great adventure.
Since I'm planning on going to Knoebels on Saturday, I have to tell you..... yes, avoid the park at all costs... the lines are horrendous... tell everyone you know to stay away... far, far away.

RGB (who just moved past SFGAdv lover in all the lines at Knoebels.)

Haha, nice try. See you there RGB
It is Memorial Day weekend so it can be crowed. Weekday school picnics are usually done by 3pm so the rest of the night is dead.

I'd say for this Saturday expect a busy day since it's a holiday weekend. Still it is Knoebels and you will get on more rides in a day at Knoebels then at any chain park.

Actually, now it appears that you won't, SFGAdv lover, unless you're doing an overnight. My plans have been changed on me, so it looks like I'll be going on Sunday now. Enjoy your visit!
I'll be at Knoebels on Sunday. My friends band City Chicken is doing and interview around 3pm near Fascination for a newspaper and I'll more than likely be taking pics of them on rides for promo pics after the interview. I also have other friends in another band, Deuce playing the bandshell.
City chicken! LOL-- what a coal region giveaway! (along with teaberry ice cream and bleenies... and pirogies... and halushky) It would be appropriate I think, to take their pictures on the "Flyers" and by the Phoenix-- it's not a chicken, but it's still a bird of sorts.
