That's an interesting idea for a station.
For brakes, I wrapped several rubber bands around the green pieces that hold the track together. The black wheel assembly rubs against the rubber bands and slows it down.

Hey, it looks good... that would be tough to get to work. All you need are some electromagnets and a dedicated line to the substation! :-)
