K'nex coasters

Has anyone built any real coasters out of knex? I have built Top Thrill Dragster, Dejavu, Wicked Twister and "X". Right now i am constructing Gemini...the dueling coaster at Cedar Point.... Here is my site with pitures of my coasters..tell me what you think.

oh yeah, how many sets do you have, and how long do they usually take you, the dragon is the best coaster in K'nex ive ever seen

I do not have pics of those developed yet.. but yes they worked.. for wicked twister I used a rubber band to launch it.

for X how do you get the cars to spin? I tried to make a prototype for a way I thought it might work but i couldnt get the cars horizonal after it changed to vertical

All I did was add pieces that looked like seats that went across the car and then when they went down the drop they spun around.. when I have pics. I will show you. Do you have pics of your "X' model?

no, It wasnt and X model, but i was trying to do the X style seats, unless thats what you meant. It didnt work at all after it turned 90 degrees once. I was trying to do it on a screamin squirrel esque ride.

i am currently building millenium force...it has an 85 degree drop but i can not find a way to get the quick cable lift as in the real millenium force. If you have a way please tell me. The dude with all of the coasters...with "X" it has 2 seperate tracks with the 1 on bottom where the trains actually ride and the 1 on top controls how the seats spin so you might want to take this into consideration when u build "X" and if u have already done it then you might want to redo it to make it better. I have made many k'nex coasters with both the first classic roller coaster of k'nex and the screamin' serpent modle. i have even done a rubber band launch like you talked about only it was a while ago. i built a virticle shuttle loop with a rubber band launch and this thing was awesome.

Can I PLEASE see a construction pic. of your Millenium force!! How tall is it! How much do you have finished??How many sets do you have? Can i see pics of your last models?

For the lift cant you just put a magnet to the chain.. and then put a magnet on the bottom of the train and then when it goes through they will attrack

ok first of all i do not have a digital camera to put pics on the net with. and second what would be the point of a magnet if there is already a chain and any way what i meant by that was what could i use to get a quicker lift because as we know the lift on millenium force is pretty quick and using a magnet on the chain will just move the same speed as the chain is going

by the way what is the height on the roller coaster that you have...you know the big 1...i think it is called chaos

The height of that was 8ft tall. Did you like chaos? If you want the chain to go fast put a different motor on the coaster and connect to the rodd that is on the gears... I wish you had pics! How much do you have done on Millenium Force...

dude the fastest motor i have still dosnt go as fast as i would like it but i guess i will have to settle with that...ya man i loved chaos...this 1 time i built a full amusement park...it had 2 roller coasters a farris wheel a swing ride and a few other things...i also had a crane built to mak it look like the park was under construction...i have about 1/2 of my millenium force done...also how many coaster sets do you have?

Wow, some of those K'Nex creations are just stunning. That must take a lot of time and patience. What did that take, like 4 Screamin' Serpent sets?

Yes it did take me 4 ss sets. And I can NOT wait to see your pics of Millennium Force!! I like the crane idea!
