Kneemeister's Orlando Adventure, Day 1

After one and a half days of driving and a quick drive by of Wild Adventure, I arrived in Orlando, being that it was already afternoon I decided on EPCOT arriving at 2:30.

First ride, Space Ship Earth, wow this was a great ride in 1986, now it seems so out of date and the thing rattles and shakes like an old farm truck, This ride has reached the point that it does need to be replaced.

Next up was Test Track, gota love the single rider line 20 min wait- Even with the 5 min. pause in the middle of the ride it was great, i am just glad that it stopped before the speed run.

After that I visited the Incredible Voyage type ride, I wished i wouldnt have, it messed up my stomach big time, I followed this with The Living Seas, those "Hydrolators" make me laugh, that is the cheesest effect ever.

It was now about 5:00 so to relax i took a ride with "figment". I then got a fastpass for Honey I Shrunk the Audience with a 6:15 time. I then ran back to Japan for a quick dinner, then after a quick walk back to the front of the park I arrived back with 5 min to spare. This was a fun attraction, the mice and snake were a nice touch. A fun time.

From there I went to Mexico for a quick boat ride with a 5 min line. not much to say about this ride blah. Next up American Experience-a good show, but kinda simplistic history. I finished my day with Ellen and the Universe of Energy. I love that giant turntable in there. At 9:00 I left and headed for my Hotel.

The Hotel, I got 4 nights at the Villager Priemeir, just north of Universal, it is a short stay apartment complex that is half HoJo and half Villager, same loby same front desk. The place was dirty and the phone didnt work, Well by noon Saturday when I stopped back it still didn't, so I checked out loosing that nights refund because I was 1 hr late, I will call the manager about that tomorrow- So avoid that place at all cost dont let the rate suck you in.

You left Epcot at 9pm and didnt stay for Illuminations? Shame on you :) Illuminations is IMHO one of the best laser shows I have ever seen. I really liked when they superimposed the laser globe on Spaceship Earth. Really awesome. Sounds like you had a great day at Epcot. Can't wait to go down there in February myself.
