I had wondered about that when I visited Knott's recently...the Sky Tower was down for rehab, but with an indication that it would be re-opening, which kind of surprised me.

I wonder if not putting it where the sky cabin is has something to do with all of the "other" markers in that area...you know...the giant mega coaster going in for 2012? :)
