From the official site:
The myths of an ancient civilization and its mighty city carved out of stone have lured travelers from around the globe to this bustling port community for more than a century.
Welcome to Adventure Port. New in 2023, and located between Coney Mall and Action Zone, the park’s newest themed area will feature two new family rides, enhanced theming for Adventure Express, Enrique’s quick service restaurant and the Mercado.
Which is a weird one because its trains were apparently replaced with inverted-style seats, but the track seems to be old-school suspended track.
(Like Travis, I can't edit today.)
I believe it was 2001 or 2002 when the ride was retrofitted with those Vekoma floorless trains. They still swing and everything, as far as I know.
I could imagine those on Iron Dragon - brings some more excitement to that swooping water pretzel, I'd bet.
This is good news indeed. Glad to see some theming coming back. It seems like parks have moved away from themed areas where you cross between 2 areas but everything looks the same.
Now, I'm not expecting every park to be like Disney or Universal where you are completely emerged in the story and the theme, but use some of the Fast Lane money that they are printing every day to theme up the place.
...and yes, I'm also awaiting what will take over where Vortex used to be. KI needs another coaster that goes upside down and we know one will fit right in that spot. :)
