I believe that if a helix stays on its spiraling descent or ascent, it should be counted as one helix. However, there are several degrees of helices. One that makes a full rotation is 360 degrees. The Beast and King Cobra have helices with 540 degrees. If Loch Ness Monster has five full rotations, then --if I did the math right-- it is a 1800 degree helix!
