Kings Island maintains price, will announce new attractions soon

Kings Island will maintain its $39.99 admission price for the 2001 season. This keeps the park in line with Cedar Point at $39 and Six Flags Ohio at $34.99.

The park says they will make an announcement about their 2001 attractions in the near future.

It is nice that Wtaer Works, PKI`s water park is free, however, PKI has added too many pay attractions lately. Such as The Edge, laser Tag, Extreme SkyFlyer, and a trampoline thing where Flight COmmander used to be. I think they should take out the Edge, and trampoline thing and put in flat rides.
Why should the parking fee be included in the gate price? How much should they raise the gate price to make up for cutting, or eliminating, the parking fee? It seems a little unfair to those who may walk to the gate from Columbia Road and surrounding subdivisions, to have to pay more simply to make up for the lack of a parking fee. Not to mention, whereas you would previously have only forked out one parking fee for the whole car, imagine if you have 6 people in that car. Why should they each, individually, pay for the elimination of the parking fee at the gate, when they all came in only one car? To me, that would amount to the park gouging it's customers. The parking fee may be a little steep, but quit whining - it could be worse!

Now, as for CP, just the other day I read in the local paper that CP was actually raising IT'S price by $1 - which would bring it up to PKI's price. PKI isn't keeping it's price lower just to stay in line with CP.

Actually, that's still a dollar below PKI.

actually, PKI should work to make their existing roller coasters smoother before they make another one. again, bring lots of aspirin...
I know rhis is a bit off the subject, but does anyone know what the 15 attractions are going to be a Paramounts Great America (PGA). They're remaining "competitive" with the info, or in plain english......STINGY
Someone mentioned a log flume redo...I did see some equipment the next to the flume (a couple of cherry pickers), no sign of major construction yet though.

There are some pictures of the site for the new Kings Island attraction at:

Speaking of price of admission, Are there discount coupons available for either PKI, or CP??
We'll be making the Ohio rollercoster swing thru this summer, and I was just wondering if they offered any kind of discounts, like say, Six Flags' Coke can promotion?
