Kings Island has filed official blueprints to start work on a new roller coaster, which has the code name "Project X" for now. The plans were approved by the Mason Building Department on April 24, 2019, giving the park go-ahead to begin construction.

Exciting times but since it's Friday, let's help our friends at Kings Island come up with a more creative name for their new top secret project:
I'd be okay if the ride's name remained Project X.
That was also one of my favorite movies when I was a kid.

Project X tells us a lot about this...
-Project X replaces Firehawk
-Firehawk used to be X-Flight
-X-Flight was originally for Kings Island
Exo Facto, Project X will be a Vekoma Giga Flying Dutchman.
You heard it here first.

Michigan's Adventure gets the shaft once again!
Is that a new shaft or one being relocated from another park?
Cedar Fair trademarked two different names recently. If one of the two are going to Kings Island could the other be going to Cedar Point?
Going to Cedar Point for what? I think it’s kind of clear that nothing epic will be coming to the park for ‘20. Despite the wish-list predictions found on line.
or will it?
And remember, CF sat on the name Centurion until it expired. Ya know, just to keep the fanboys guessing. 😉
I dig the Orion name. But Polaris will always be a snowmobile or ATV (other than the Star, obviously) in my book.
But then again, 20 years ago I never thought Millennium Force would roll off my keyboard more naturally than Millennium Falcon, either. So who knows?
But then again, what do I know?

I did notice that RCMAC about some names just leaving to expire. Could they have been possible names that they had not decided on yet? Very well could be to throw fanboys off but I see an attorney's name listed who obviously does the paperwork but also charges money. Would they waste money just to throw fanboys off? Doubtful but IDK.
It won't be just a coaster year if they do get one at CP, that has been made rather clear. But when I heard they want to top SV I am left wondering what could top that? Would a flyer top it? Flyers are rather limited, probably due to rider position and g-forces. However, I could be way off base with that. The only thing that comes to mind, and my gut, is CP pushing the limits and getting the first T-Rex. I know this in not a popular opinion but how much different is it vs the Raptor style? Wider track and bigger trains?
They do lack a woodie (Giggity) but again, they never seemed to concerned about this and I've heard nothing making them appear overly concerned. My guess is a T-Rex, which seems to rock, at least in Planet Coaster ;). I'm going to CP on Tuesday and will be snooping around but it may be way too early for major clues. Maybe between Gemini and SV? Would be great if they got two but I'm not counting on that. But it's fun to speculate.
