Kings Island drops haunt depiction of murdered football star

Um, no, first of all UFS owns the Peanuts and would never let that happen. And two, the park did a "Santa goes homicidal manic" zone one year and the public hated it. To see dieing Peanuts characters youll have to just watch the Robot Chicken Great Pumpkin parody.

Then check out the Robot Chicken parody (google it) she is the only character to get offed on screen.

I wish I had more than a foggy concept, but I suppose if I did, I'd be putting it to use making something of it. :)

Apparently, there's a park in Japan with a 45 minute walk through hospital, that ends with a walk through a recovery room of sorts, with the beds and curtains, that involves a random patient waking up and coming at you.

I guess all you get is a flashlight or something, I can't remember exact details, other than my friend saying it was a total mind-f and something everyone should try once, but people came out crying.

Iunderstand that it's a tried and true method of doing things, butimagine an attraction that actually managed to be frightening orunnerving - something that really got inside your head. That'd be thebest.

Again it kinda goes back to what people will allow themselves to believe. If you're knowingly going into a haunted attraction, some people will never be bothered by anything because they know it's fake. Now if there was a way to get people to enter the scenario without knowing they're participating in it, that would be an entirely different ballgame.

The recent trend amongst the group I've been working with has been a heavy emphasis on creating a truly detailed, creepy and memorable character. Sure there will always be the "startle" scares, but somebody with an awesome character will do a lot more to get into your head and make you believe they are real. There are a few guys in the Fright Zone at CP who are very good at getting into people's heads with their character. Also in the new Eerie Estates, the woman in the kitchen with the tray of "food" and the guy and lady sitting at the dining room table are incredibly believable with their characters. Although the interactions with these characters are brief, it's definitely a move in the direction that Gonch was talking about.

Of course, my favorite "getting in your head" attraction was the now defunct Trio of Terror (dramatic readings of Poe stories) when it was in the Glassblowing theater. There you had an intimate setting where you spent about 15-20 minutes with actors that were darn good at making you believe their character. There were times even I felt a bit creeped out by them, and I've worked haunt stuff for years.

Two words: Haunted Graveyard (two more - Lake Compounce). :)
