From the official site:
Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers takes the classic fun of a soap box racing derby to a whole new level as both parents and kids climb aboard their favorite Peanuts-decorated soap box coaster car and are hoisted up a 70-foot hill to the starting line. As Snoopy waves the checkered flag, riders will be released and launched forward onto a track full of exhilarating twists and turns, passing the camp lookout station, racing toward the finish line up ahead. And, just as they think they are about to cross it, the entire train of soap box cars will roll backward, traversing the same course, now in reverse!
Have a speaker at the reverse point that says, “Don’t make me turn this car around!”
13 Boomerang, 9 SLC, and 8 B-TR clones
Looks like eight new Family Boomerangs in 2024. They're really churning them out.
I develop Superior Solitaire when not riding coasters.
Oh, man...I got so excited for a minute. I grew up on Knott's Berry Farm's original Soap Box Derby Racers. When I saw the name I really got my hopes up. I'm sure this ride will be fun for the kids...but let's not dishonor the original.
Hopefully, the log flume gets some love on top of flying ace too...
Now that it's clear it's a whole area, hopefully, the CP Planet or Camp get some plussing, instead of cast-off Geauga Zamperlas.
The only thing that could make this more interesting is if it was racing Soap Box Racers - i.e. two parallel tracks running side by side...
Kings Island gets a strong attendance and this is a low capacity coaster. Kings Island definitely wpuld warrant having a dueling version.
Not sure why they put Racer in the name since it does not actually race and they already have a coaster called Racer.
Since the company is not on string financial ground, it looks like much of new the capital will be “budget” version like the Zamperla rides installed this year
Does my eyes betray me or do I see Camp Snoopy coloring? Could Planet Snoopy be phasing out for the far superior Camp Snoopy theme.
2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando

The front half is staying Planet, the back half becoming Camp. See the embedded video...

Considering they issued a dived when didn't for years, and are buying back stock, have record guest per capita, and best guest feedback numbers, modifying a $25 million dollar coater with LSMs, a new B&M, a new family coaster plus a whole playground, and theming. CW looks like getting a new slide. And Im sure there is more coming. And Im sure Carrowinds needs another new coaster instead of good theming and a suite of awesome custom flats.
Now is buying back stock, and a higher dividend silly with their debt load, probably.
"Snoopy's Soap Box Racers" is worse than "Top Thrill 2".
Coasterbuzz - Coaster enthusiasts, but so much more. We're the good ones.
Like I said in my video, the capacity is going to suck, but most teens and thrillseekers aren't going to ride it. Hopefully it'll bring in the families to help pay for a shiny new coaster down the road.

Side note, time is a bitch...
1992 KECO sold to Viacom - 2006 Paramount Parks sold to Cedar Fair = 14 years
2006 Paramount Parks sold to Cedar Fair - to 2023 = 17 years

It wouldn't surprise me hugely if they followed the precedent set with Snoopy's Racing Railway at Canada's Wonderland – which has banned adult-only groups.
