None

^CP put their game in last year. I remember seeing Knott's install theres (in front of Xcelerator) mid season, on other sites.
I was at KI both Saturday and Sunday. With all the hiccups on Saturday, Sunday was a much better day. On Saturday they did not bother to scan my MaxPass at parking, they just let me through. Sunday they did scan it, no problems. I have all Ohio Parking - but no sticker and the folks at Guest Services have no idea about any sticker. We'll see when I visit CP and GLin June.

As for operations, it seemed much better than last year's openning weekend. But the weather was better too.

My only real complaint would be that Tomb Raider's audio was off. So the movement made little sense other than to create some spin and squeal.

Those annoyed the heck out of me... Saw a few million of them.

Just to add to your TR....I noticed the outside queues and entry for FOF appeared re-configured maybe due to the Firehawk construction work.

In addition, I noticed new additional redundant seat belts on Vortex and the Huss flat (Shake Rattle and Roll) right in front of it, which I have to say the Vortex restraint definitely is more restrictive now on size as someone who is 6'4" it was close and I've never had a problem before! Now I think the seat belts on Shake Rattle and Roll are fine as you go fairly high and just having a long lap bar was always a little unsettling, and I can only imagine what CF (as safety nuts) must have thought when they first saw that!!

Speaking of which, CF also jacked up the thrill ratings on some rides, including Vortex (which went from a 3 to a 5!!) and Drop Zone and Delirium. And the ride safety signs were re-done with the CF standard type-face and color-scheming.

But the new refillable souvenir cups are a deal; especially considering they jacked up the prices on 20 oz. bottles to $3 in the machines and $3.50 in restaurants...they can't go much higher than that and still be sane!!

P.S. My girlfriend and I were secretly hoping we would run into Lord Gonchar while there on Saturday thinking (correctly) he’d be there and hoped to get him fired up on some rant about something live and in-person! *** Edited 4/23/2007 2:09:20 PM UTC by tigellinus***

Cedar Point has a Troika I don't think theirs has belts.

LOL! I'm pretty mellow in person.

But if you ever do spot me, feel free to introduce yourself. :)

I actually complained to Mr. Kinzel about some of the opening day hickups. Getting a photo with him though, was definitely a cool part of the trip.

Also, it looks like ThunderSkyFireHawk (too many hawks at CF) will be better than when it was X-Flight due to the location, and with there actually being some grade differentiation (is that even a real term, or just one I made up?). It is nice it will no longer be a "parking lot" coaster. It will be a nice addition to the park, though I hope some of the mechanical issues will get worked out before it re-opens.

One last thing I don't get about the new ride: Wouldn't it be cheaper to paint the ride on the ground instead of in its place? With Cedar Fair's tight budgets, I would have expected them to paint the track first, and then erect it.
