Kings Dominion question

I am planning a trip to Kings Dominion on Thursday, June 26th. I just saw on the web site that it is Christian weekend. Does any one know, from past experience, how crowded the park is during that weekend?

Thanks!

Not sure on how crowded it will be. The picnic area will be loaded. I've onlt been there once, and it was one of the best visits I've ever made to amusement park. For out-of-towners, the Best Western (right next door) is the way to go. Everything was a walk on that day. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect time at a park. ;) Have a good time!

YOUNGSTOWN 2010

I drove a customer to and from the airport here in Jersey who flew down to Atlanta to see family and stopped over at SFOG during Christian Week, and they told me (They are avid coaster nuts as well and know that I love this stuff) that in the beginning of the day they had schedules to meet (prayer meetings, shows, etc...) and that the lines were pretty small in the morning, but after the afternoon when they had free time, that the park just "Swelled" and the lines were immediately 3+ hours for some rides. Just to keep into consideration.

As for that Best Western, I have never stayed there but I did try to get a room across from the park at a Econo Lodge and after having to make my way across the parking lot and past the (edited) "hoodlums" to check in, I found that my room would't lock and that the a/c didn't work which left the room to be 90+ degrees. After complaining, I was able to get a refund but only after having to threaten legal action if they didn't. They did not want to refund my money, they even had a sign posted "No refunds". I explained to them that I was not staying in a room (it was booked, amazingly) that did not lock. Once I started dialing my lawyer on the phone, did they refund. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER go there again. We stayed at the Micro Inn (or something like that) which was 20 or so minutes away.

The last time I went to PKD, my friends and I camped at their campground, and had a FANTASTIC time.
