On a side note, I'll be visiting CP on a Sunday near the end of September. Will the crowds have died down by then? Thanks guys...

If you look to the left of the enterence (Before You Enter), there should be a sign of some sort what the ERT is for that week, if any. ERT is only in the mornings, and it isn't much. It's rare that they have it, but you might be able to catch it. Just check there and it should tell you. I can't give ya an exact location of the sign, but its there. Otherwise, just find someone and ask about it once you are at the park.
As for the Gold Pass, Kings Dominion only has one type of pass, which seems odd to me seeing its one, if not the biggest, Paramount Park.

Drop Oup at PKD in 2003!
OoOoOo...Rolley Coaster!
PKD was a huge hit during the DC trip, and the employees rocked! Watch out for the DROP ride next year, better even than PKI's Drop Zone....it will be THE king of Intamin drops.....stopping a mere 33' from the ground.....
ACE CoasterCon next year is PKD/BGW.....:)

When I went to PKD several weeks ago, they didn't have ERT on Volcano, even though the sign out front said they did. They DID have ERT on Ricochet, and they let me use my Carowinds pass for that. They were checking passes near the Action F/X theater if I remember right. This would work well to get in line early for Hypersonic - get in that area of the park at 10:00, ride Ricochet, then get in line for Hypersonic before they let the GP in. I would've done that except the sign said Hypersonic wasn't opening until 1:00 - but they announced it was opene at 11:00 - when I of course was over by Flight of Fear. A good sprint across the park got me in line for it before it grew too large.
Paramount is wildly inconsistent with some of their season-pass benefits from park to park it seems. At Carowinds, we have a Gold pass that gives us free parking and discounts on food / merchandise. It's not honored at the other Paramount parks for parking though. All passholders get ERT on Top Gun and whatever the new attraction is for that year - last year Scooby's Haunted Mansion, this year Ricochet, and next year Runaway Reptar. We have to pay $15-$20 for Scarowinds tickets depending on when we buy them - which is about a $15 savings.
I guess having to pay for Scarowinds balances out all those ERT sessions on Top Gun, flying over that huge line of non-passholders waiting for the line to open....
