Richmond TV station NBC12 has some video looking around the construction site at Kings Dominion, showing the worst kept secret in 2010 roller coasters. A park rep says Internet sources on the identity of the ride are "fairly accurate," which most agree makes this a 300-foot Intamin coaster.
See video from WWBT/Richmond.
When did Kings Island get other crappy hyper coasters, I don't recall. Wait, since when is Diamondback crappy? What planet are you from?

Everybody knows gigacoasters are automatically better than hypercoasters. Or is it the fact that Intamins are automatically better than B&Ms? I keep forgetting.
Pass da' sizzrup, bro!
I was starting to believe it was intamin, even with rcdb saying it is. However, check the video, and look at the track, unless that is track from Diamondback, which it could be shown in the video. The supports were yellow in the video again showing maybe Diamondback footage. However, it seems that photos are showing it with cream colored supports.
So its kinda confusing to a point, but it still could be an intamin. 300 ft would be pushing it, why not just work with a intamin mega and go from there. I will believe 300ft when i hear the announcement.
Resident Arrow Dynamics Whore
Not sure what video you're watching but the track shown in the video linked above is Intamin and looks nothing like B&M.
The "giga" stamped on the track isn't convincing enough?

It's a Beemer hyper so automatically it sucks by default. /sarcasm/
My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
I read the title of this thread and thought it said that the ramps for the construction of the coaster have been erected.

To some, Son of Beast qualifies as a crappy hypercoaster. Diamondback... doesn't. :)

It's that Intamins are better than B&M's.
I thought it went like this: "Non-looping, non-launched Intamins beat the daylights out of anything in the entire B&M catalog." (Oh, wait, that one MIGHT just be me). ;)
Oh puhleeze. We all know they're both just fine, and I can't believe there's even an arguement about it. Anyone would be lucky to have a B&M like Diamondback at their home park, it's such a great ride. I was all ready to place it behind some of our favorites at CP, but I just can't. Just as lucky, though, would be to have an Intamin Giga, and I'll go ahead and hope KD's version is similar to the ride at SFNE with MF's first drop! Wouldn't that be a ride! No matter what's installed, we should be grateful that CF is giving huge, thrilling signature rides to parks that have recently grown nothing but lackluster.
And frankly, as a traveler, I dont want to visit and find the same style of ride at every park in the chain. If MF and DB coexist in Ohio, and if next year the south is blessed with outstanding, but different rides at KD and Carowinds? The world will seem like a pretty balanced place to me.
RCMAC....me thinks they were just "ribbing" on that guy who made the comment about KI getting a "crappy coaster". If you havnt noticed yet, little arguing goes on on Coasterbuzz, its usually the shameless exploitation of idiots that post mindless dribble on the forums :) that about accurate, guys?
Back to the subject at hand...I am getting very excited about next year :)
still trying to think of a good signature...
