Kingda Ka 1st ride Online Auction (April 21st)

So, I got a general email from SFGAdv today advertising this auction (there's also information on the parks official site... it seems some of you all still think this is a hoax). The funny thing of the email is that it advertises something along the lines of "Be the First...on the First of it's Kind." I mean, I'll give Kingda Ka the distiction of the tallest and fastest coaster, but the first of it's kind? It's hardly the first pnumatically launched coaster, and it's essentially just a modified version of Top Thrill Dragster, so how is it in ANY way the first of it's kind? First coaster over 125 mph? First coaster over 450' tall? Sure, but it seems a little misworded if you ask me.

BTW, anyone get me that $456 yet? I'll take cash, credit, or check!

Have any of you been to a media day event.

I have at PKI for Runaway Reptar, and it was a GREAT experince. Now i know as well as the next that I won't the the VERRY first person on KK! Hell I rode RR 23 times before the "offical" opening.

all the pomp and circumstance that was media day is well worth it! and not to mention that ALL the money goes to Children's Miracle Network. So I think that just the donation is worth the money to go to media day. Of coarse I want to be one the first riders... but who doesn't, really? and there will be VERRY little line.
