"Nothing like it in the world. It's the tallest and the fastest, bar none," says Larry Chickola

I was wondering if anyone else was upset by this new ride. I'm sure it's awesome... but the quote above I do not believe to be true. CP has one almost the exact same ride. They just increased some things just enough to break what CP had done.

I was wondering if anyone had been on both KK and TTD and could share with a comparison?

While I have not yet ridden it, you are right. KK is almost a clone of TTD, but with greater height and the 129' bunny hill. The bunny hill has, reportedly, added some more airtime to the ride, this coming from reviews from media day riders. So, their claim isn't entirely accurate, but it is true that this isn't the exact same ride, so "technically" they are right. I just can't wait to ride it in 2 weeks (stupid job!).

"The examined life is no picnic", "but the unexamined life is a life not worth living"Robert Fulgham and The Golden Girls

Life's too short to get upset by something being beaten by a few feet or a park "losing" a record.

How about this: It's a good thing that we, the public, get another great ride like TTD and a whole new section of the country get's to enjoy it! And this is coming from somewhat of a CP fanboy...

Real Cbuzz quote of the day - "The classes i take in collage are so mor adcanced then u could imagen. Dont talk about my emglihs" - Adamforce
I don't see anything false or misleading about the quote. It is, in fact, the tallest and fastest coaster in the world and it is "one of a kind". There is no exact clone of it anywhere that I am aware of.
I am happy that the east coast now has a strata-coaster to ride so that many more people can experience it. However I just believe they should have been a little more creative with breaking the record...as well as breaking it by more if they are going to bother.

If you're sure it's awesome then why would anyone be upset?

I won't be able to form an opinion until the park figures into my plans for summer 2006 but the quote is accurate.

Should anyone care that it's a taller, faster and bigger Dragster? I certainly wasn't upset to hear about Dragster going up in Cedar Point after riding Hypersonic XLC. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery -- and topping the original is usually a greater form of enjoyment.

And some people wonder why CP Fanboys get a bad rap...
What Techno said.

It is what it is. An SF park now holds the record.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
