King Cobra goin to Port Aventura

It has just been confirmed to me by a technition that King Cobra has been bought by a park in Spain. He said he wasn't 100% sure which but knew that Port Aventura was probably the one. So you lucky Europeaner's........enjoy!

I am not sure Port Aventura would by a used coaster like King Cobra. Perhaps another park? Then again, I don't work for a park so what do I know. =:^)

I am positive, that if true, King Cobra would go to Tierra Mecca if any other park in Spain. Port Adventura is far to high to take a coaster like King Cobra in. That's like Busch Gardens Williamsburg buying Windjammer and throughing it into the open. On the other hand, all the new I've seen says that Tierra Mitca is getting a supspended coaster from Venkoma or Arrow(type of ride is not known).

I think that it might make sense if King Cobra was going to Terra Mitica. If I`m correct, didn`t Paramount Parks recently sign a mangement deal with Terra Mitica to manage the park for four years or something?

Paladin5424, they are apparently putting in a thrill shot, or some kind of three tower ride. There is going to be some extra space, so who knows what will also be coming.

The majoriy of space that KC stood on will be used for the 2003 attraction according to the park.

HAS to be Terra Mitica, I think somebody got it confused. I would be shocked if it was purchased by another chain...but I certainly have been surprised by some other recent moves.

Still betting on the "inverted mouse" for KC's spot...but anyone that KNOWS anything about PKI is doing an excellent job keeping "mum", hmmmmm........

Someone told me about this weeks ago, so if it went to a park in Spain, it would almost definitely have to go to Terra Mitica. I have a friend who works on SOB at PKI and he said that his superviser told them KC would go to TM. I don't think its up for sale anymore, is it?

I can tell you from the looks of the ride and the way it is being dismantled that it's definitely going somewhere. All of the sections are being removed as sections, and they're being lined up for removal.

Well theres some more possiblitys

Theres a new park opening in Spain called Speed-Festival which is already shown as haiving a hyper coaster and a bobsled ride. (September 2003 opening) and there are some smaller parks which would make good use of KC.

Although if PA did get it it would be well looked after.

I've known my friend sense I was 3. He wouldn't give me any false information. And remember he wasn't sure but Port Aventura rang a bell in his head. It easily could be Terra Mitica!
