Kasatka was one of the orcas that used to live at Sea World of Ohio :) Congratulations, Kasatka & baby!

Would it stand to reason then that Kasatka was pregnant when she was moved cross country from Ohio to California? That couldn't have been good for the baby...

I doubt very much that the gestation period for the animal is three years.

From SeaWorld's
own site....
The gestation period of a killer whale is about 17 months -- the longest known of all cetaceans. Pregnancies followed at the SeaWorld Adventure Parks have ranged from 15 to 18 months.

My bad, I was thinking of Shouka, the orca at SFWoA now at SFMW... Not the on from SWO now at SWSD... :) My fault...
