KIExtreme.com has posted a batch of 29 historical photos taken on Kings Island's original opening day, April 29, 1972. The photos showcase all aspects of the park and its original attractions, including aerial views from the Eiffel Tower.

Actually it was filmed in 1973. :) I always enjoy watching that episode. It's hysterical!

Partridge Family filmed an episode there in 1972, but my attempts to locate a copy have continued to fail. The Brady KI episode airs on TV Land occasionally.

Thanks for the link! I love Kings Island. My first visit to Kings Island was 1984, when I was 11 years old. King Cobra was new and it was the coaster that made me an enthusiast...that and the Beast.

Viewing old pics of the birth of Kings Island intrigues me.
