It plays more like a promo of Magic Mountain circa 1990 than a kids entertainment DVD.
There's tons of ride footage from the park from back then - onride and off.
Assuming you can sit through a bunch of 9 year olds singing middle of the road non-offensive oldies that remotely relate to the ride they're on, it's a good chance to catch the park footage. (disclaimer: if you become suicidal while watching, I can't be held responsible)
It's so blatant in it's promotion that in the opening it shows the kids coming through the gate and telling the ticket taker things like "I wanna ride Ninja" or "I want to have demolition derby on the bumper cars" - then the first song (Let's Twist Again) takes place as the kids ride the Metro. It actually breaks down in the middle (the song, not the ride) and the kids point out rides saying things like "Look there's Ninja. It sure goes fast!" or "Hey Z-Force! I wanna ride that!"
That's about as far as we made it, my kids were not amused and I'm pretty sure just 6 minutes of the DVD made me diabetic.
Hilariously bad children's entertainment, blatant Magic Mountain promotion and a chance to see what the park looked like 15 years ago. (the answer there is: surprisingly nice)
Might be something to keep an eye for if any of those three interest you. :)
It's hilarious when aunt edna (that was her name right) and she's put on the roof of the car.
I hate kids shows, I'm not looking forward to that when i get older lol.
After having to endure them for a couple of years when Ian was a toddler, there is no way I can force myself to purchase the roller coaster one on DVD.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
The Magic Mountain scenes couldn't even save it for me. :)
