Kids test rides on the IAAPA show floor

More than 1,100 exhibitors representing a $29 billion amusement industry snapped to attention Friday when a group of clipboard-toting fifth graders marched into the Georgia World Congress Center exhibit hall. The group of Atlanta-area fifth graders, wearing brightly colored "Kid Testers" T-shirts, were invited to test the latest theme park rides, games and foods on display at the massive International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo, which ended Saturday.

Lucky kids...... :(
"...test the latest...foods ..."

Isn't that human experimentation? ;)

I wanna see pics!
I wonder if anyone had to clean up "kid barf"?

I would love to see pics of the kids reactions to the rides.

Do people who believe in Wicca even use magic wands? That attraction sounds interesting.

lol, dexter! I can just hear the guys from Zamperla..

"...uh-oh! slow it down! slow it down! I think those experimental hot dogs are gonna come up on our new... eeeewwwww... now we know why those brightly colored shirts were made *that* color..."

Ice cream THEN the Disk-O? Whose bright idea was that? I say good for that kid for dissing that pagan attraction. They said they wanted outgoing kids who could be honest and critical. They probably didn't plan on that kind of criticism. Guess it's better to hear it now than after they put dozens of them around the country and wonder why people stay away from them.

I rode with them on many of the rides. They seemed like a good group. Most of them would try anything, but some were hesitant on the S&S Screamin' Swing.
Really? I love the Screamin' Swings.. been on 2 so far, and I'm looking forward to riding the 2 new ones at Valleyfair! and Cedar Point.
