I looked through some of the pics you posted. I was pleasantly, or maybe sadly surprised to see what good shape all the rides are in. I guess I was expecting to see things somewhat run down or neglected. That doesn't seem to be the case at all.
If a park has the money to spend on general upkeep-- and we've seen many examples of parks that don't-- it indicates to me there was some kind of support in the community. Some of the parks that have closed, it could be argued that folks didn't care, so it should just happen, but this didn't seem to be the case here, which makes the closing a little bit sadder.
