The Kentucky State Fair Board approved a lease deal for Kentucky Kingdom, which will be operated as Bluegrass Boardwalk by a company formed mostly by members of the Koch family, who own Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana.

I can see people complaining about season pass prices at BB, if they do in-fact offer them - thanks to Six Flags giving away cheap passes.
Anyone been on Day-Looge? It's supposed to be a great ride.

What kind of condition are Twisted *s really in, aside from being short a couple of trains? I mean, they've got galvanized steel construction, so structurally they should be okay; the track probably needs some work (I remember Lola having that same problem as the Villain, where the train bounced down the first drop...) but how extensive even is that?
I think it was here that someone (gator?) commented that OzCat was as good as dead, and that one went SBNO a year later. Didn't know a steel vs. wooden structure made that much of a difference.
Glad to see something happen for this park. 2013 also sounds about right for a KI addition. Good year for the area.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.
I saw a Bluegrass Boardwalk that said they will add several new attractions so just confirming new attractions will be added.
Just to clarify everything, will the abbreviation be BB or BGB?
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

:) I'm doing surprisingly well. I think eating Chinese food before I went to sleep did the trick.
What exactly are "Kentucky People"?
That reminds me of a great joke...
What do you call a gay guy who flies an airplane?
A Pilot.

I was gonna go with "Steve", but then again it was just a wild guess... ;)

I went on it my only visit in '07. It was my first and only water coaster. Thought it was OK at best. I imagine rides like Wildebeest and Mammoth are/will be much more thrilling and fun.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

Deluge was the most disapointing of all the water coasters I've ridden. Though it's a short list. Castaway Bay, Kalahari in Sandusky, Holiday World, and of course Deluge at KK. I'll be ridding Master Blaster at Schlitterbahn in Galveston Island in a few months.

[url][url]An interesting tidbit from the Bluegrass Boardwalk blog: http://bluegrassboardwalk.com/baby-steps/ While it definitely seems their enthusiasm is there, it doesn't sound like everything is necessarily a fully done deal as far as financing, unless I am mis-interpreting something.
They mentioned at the original press conference that they still needed to secure some financing. But, they also expressed extreme confidence that they would be able to obtain it.
