Kennywood To Offer Season Passes Starting This Fall!?

How does one go about obtaining one? Any word on "perks?"

From the website.

Kennywood will introduce a Season Pass starting in March, 2010. Price is $89.99/person and includes unlimited visits to Kennywood during the regular season (through September 19, 2010). A limited quantity will be sold in 2010, so purchases will be on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Phantom Fright Night admission is NOT included in the Kennywood Season Pass.

Please check the Kennywood website starting March 1 for more information, restrictions, and passholder perks.

Guess they don't go on sale until at least March 1?

Here is the response I got back from the park. No word on "perks."

As of right now, we're not sure the exact date that season passes will go on sale. As of right now, it's looking like the middle of March, but it could be sooner if we are able to get everything up and running. March 1st is the "deadline" we've set for releasing the sale date. Season passes will be available online at kennywood.com while supplies last. We will be selling a limited number this season since it will be our first one so my advice would be that if you are interested, purchase them as soon as they are available.

Pass Holders 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a paying chaperone. "Paying Chaperone" is defined as a responsible person 16 years of age or older who is either a Season Pass Holder or an individual who has purchased a ticket and is attending that same day.

What about the 13-15 year olds? ;) So this takes care of kids 12 years old and younger, but that won't stop parents from dropping off their teenagers for the park to "babysit."

I am curious to see how this season pass thing pans out. I hope it works out for the park!

I didn't catch that. I guess if you are 13 or older you can go to the park without an "adult" but I would imagine the rules are the same as they have always been. Never really looked into it.
