Kennywood Thunderbolt Now Open!!

The Thunderbolt at Kennywood Park finally opened at about 1:22 today, June 23, 2001, after much delay because of the construction of Phantom's Revenge. Only 1 train is currently opperating but 2 train opperation will most likely occur tomorrow. Also, I'd like to note that it's much easier to hit one of PR's supports now, so Kennywood has padded the support to prevent any major accident from occuring, so make sure not to stick your hands out of the car, or you'll risk hitting the support. Other than that, all of Kennywood's coasters are now FINALLY open!

Thunderbolt is my fave coaster at Kennywood (maybe until I ride PR, but who knows) so hearing that its open is great news for me, as I'll be there (hopefully) on July 10th. Hope I can catch a ride on the t-bolt then!

I can see a lawsuit coming with this padded support beam.
Finally!!

I agree with Mamba!
Actually, I think they padded the support so there wouldn't be a lawsuit. All I'm saying is that it will be really dangerous to stick your hands up at certain parts of the ride.

I thought that the headchopper under the T-Bolt seemed a little closer when I rode PR. Oh well, just gotta keep my hands in the ride on that section, since I am pretty tall (6'3")

The Pens will win the Stanley Cup in 2002!
Of course, about a week after I go, LoL. At least I'll be back for KennyKon.

Let the bears pay the Bear Tax, I pay the Homer Tax.
Yippe! A classic finally reopens again!
KennyKon is an ACE Western PA regional event held at Kennywood. I think it's July 14 or 15 this year.
