Kennywood questions

Question 1: Wasn't PR suposed to have a double up at the second hill?

Question 2: Are there 2 bunny hills on PR? One being a double down?

Question 3: How do the wood coasters stack up?

Question 4: Worth a 8 hour drive?

Thanks

1. Yes PR was supposed to have a double up on the second hill.

2. Yes. There is a ton (and I mean a ton) of airtime on PR. It's definately one of the best out there and the sleeper hit of the season.

3. Jack Rabbit is a nice coaster with great airtime on the double down and fast load times. The Racer is a classic hand slapping good time. The Thunderbolt is running really good this with the track work that has been done. I've never seen it run so smooth. Great 1,2,3 punch. And don't forget about Exterminator. A fun indoor wild mouse with lots of spinnning action.

4. Absolutely it is worth the 8 hour drive. PR alone is worth the trip. Add in great coasters, atmosphere, food, friendly employees, beautiful landscaping and classic rides, what more could you ask for.

Regarding the double-up, I think it was ECC's First Drop that indicated that Morgan eliminated the double up because it would have slowed the train too much to make it all the way up.

Is it worth an 8 hour drive? I would say yes, just so you can visit a piece of themepark history. You could always fly there also.

yes, there is unbelieveable airtime on PR, double dip is a little unexpected during the ride but very fun. too quick moments of airtime which is great. and it is definitely worth an 8 hour drive. try and stop and Conneaut Lake Park as well its 2 hours away from Kennywood. it has Blue Streak which has some of the best airtime in the back seat. Your standing the whole ride.

Coo Man Choo, it's definitely worth it! Not only does KW have 3 of the funnest wood coasters in the world, it also has the Exterminator, a dark ride coaster underground, and of course, the awesome PR. And the prices are great!
