The only prior trip to Kennywood was a few years' back, and I didn't know then what I know now...when I get back in Oct., I'll be SURE to get the Old Mill ride and the Traver Tumble Bug (assuming it's open). Spare me the chastising, I already said I was "new to the game" then....;). At least we didn't miss Noah's Ark! The night-time lighting at KW was so beautiful on the lake, esp. from the wheel.

Oh yeah, guess the big steelie should be a little better this time around, sans OTSRs and headbanging, and added *airtime*...trying not to get TOO excited in advance about PR.

It's actually spelled Bayern Kurve:) You also forgot about the King Kahuna, but was closed.

rollergator: The Turtle probley won't be open...it was only open last night to make up for the King Kahuna. I guess forever how long the Kahuna is closed for the Turtle will be opened heh.

Feel free to get excited, because PR will not dissapoint. They kept what was good about the Phantom, got rid of all the bad, which turns into one of best hypers in the world. 85MPH, and the airtime is absolutley SICK. There's nothing else like it.

198 (lifetime) laps later, and Phantom's Revenge just doesn't get old. (That's with 29 in Friday night, BTW -- it was a good night for me, light night for the park. The crowds should pick up if it follows last year's pattern).

Any plans for visiting the Wood again soon, Greg? I'd love to be there for your 200th lap.

I look forward to seeing Kennywood *in the dark* for once. Fright Nights sound like a blast....a perfect start to the PPP weekend. :-)

Gator, Old Mill is very relaxing. You will love it. ;-)

Gimme speed, height, airtime and plenty of LAUNCH!!!

I'll definitely be there the Friday night before PPP; not sure if I'll be there sooner. Probably not, though -- there ARE other parks in the world ;)

hello again i forgot to add that the turtle is a working attraction for the fright nights. and the king kahuna wil not be operating for the rest of the season, in fact it may not even be a ride next year. i heard from some of the park maintence that because of the cost of maintence of the ride and the low ridership, it may be remove, and roller gator, the wheel your refering to is no longer there it was replaced in 2000 with the aero 360, sorry. and another note the old mill and noah's ark attractions have been themed to the fright nights theme with lots of monster popping out of everywhere. very scary stuff not recomended for people under 13.

Michael, you are full of crap.

No one from park maintenance would've told you that. It was either some clueless ride op, or you're making it up altogether.

The Kahuna is waiting for a part from Germany. It is expected to reopen during Fright Nights, and every subsequent year.

I never did the Kahuna, although I do like Top Spins. When I saw the Kuhana for the first time it kind of worried me....electrocution? lol. Maybe next year I will try it...in my bathing suit of course cause it's obvious that YOU WILL get soaked, maybe bruised. lol.

Man, they REALLY get it good don't they? Those streams are brutal!!!!!

The Aero is one of my favorite rides there. :-) Sick, SICK ride!

Man, I can't wait to see Old Mill's and Noah Ark's *dark side*. ;-)

Greg...congrats on your 200th lap! I will be there. :-)

the king kahuna no longer gets you wet, theres a part near the right side of the upper row of seats that if it gets wet it resets the ride which is y it breaks down all the time that's y there is no longer water on that ride.

Michael -- "y" don't you actually type out words, as you agreed to do when you clicked on the Terms of Service.

The program I rode in July only teased you with the waterjets, except for one part that did get my shoes wet. I believe I just read on the Huss (pronounced Hoose, who knew?), they just added some company to stockpile parts for North America. So hopefully, rides won't be down as long as they have been.

sorry greg about the "y" i didnt relize it. when i join up for other forums there terms of service are always the same so i thought that this would not be different.

Once again, man... Are you making this stuff up, are people feeding you lies because you're gullible, or are you just trying to sound knowledgeable?

I hate to sound harsh, seriously, but that's not even close.
