Kennywood Phantom Fright Nights 2009

I usually ask this question this time of year for those that live in and around the Pittsburgh area. . .of the 3 remaining Friday nights in the month, what is the BEST NIGHT to go to Kennywood? My buddy Ryan and I went one year when there was clearly a bunch of local football games going on and we had the ENTIRE PARK to ourselves. Then, another year, we chose unwisely and it was total and complete BEDLAM with 2 hour waits.

What are the optimal nights to go to Kennywood this year?

I'm going on Saturday. Hopefully the weather holds up. I can't speak on how Friday nights will be as I tape high school football for out local TV station.

Tonight it's going to be low 30's and snowy. You can bet there won't be big crowds.

Fridays are always slower than Saturdays regardless.

Guessing the weather in Pittsburgh 11 days in advance not going to happen. Was about 30 this morning, might hit 70 in a day or two. The safe bet is the average of about 50 cloudy and a light cold rain this time of year.
