Kennywood Discount Coupons

Okay I'm planning a trip to Kennywood for the first time this summer with a group of 6 or 7 people. I have already done some research and found out about ticket prices to KW. I know that they have discount coupons at Blockbusters for around $18 or $19. Does anyone know of any better discounts or does anyone live in the West Mifflin area that could send me some of these so I could save about $60? Thanks for your help guys.
I could buy you some thickets and mail them to you if you pre-pay for them with PayPal(or Money Order/Cashiers Checks or Personal Check(5-day hold) for $18.00 a ticket. Hurry because this offer ends soon. Please e-mail me, reply to this thread, or send a private message to let me know. *** Edited 5/12/2004 3:34:21 AM UTC by razore86***

Actually what Blockbuster is selling are tickets, not coupons. They're good any day through June, and weekdays in July and August.

I am definitely interested in at least 4 of these tickets. Will know for sure soon. Please feel free to email me or PM me.

Will be going in June, probably June 25.

Yes, like GregLeg said, what BlockBuster has are the auctual tickets for sale. Last year Kennywood had discounts on Pepsi products in th Pittsburgh area, but i'm not sure if they will have the same deal this year because of the $18.00 tickets at BlcokBuster. With that said, coasterzak or anyone else, I can pick up the tickets and mail them to you. Just remember this offer doesnt last long(unsure about ending date). The tickets are good for the dates specified above in GregLeg's post. Private message me or write me via e-mail. Thanks!

It's also only certain particpating Blockbuster locations. Check kennywood's site for a list.

Yes, only Blockbusters in the Pittsburgh area.

I'd like to think there are more Blockbusters in Pittsburgh than the 22 listed as participating on Kennywood's site.

...and those 22 stretch as far as Altoona and Butler.

Or has blockbuster yet to saturate the city like some other places I've lived?

In Jacksonville we had 4 Blockbusters under 10 miles from our house. 2 of them within 3 miles.

There really don't seem to be that many Blockbusters in the Pittsburgh. Though, I can think of 5 within a 5 minute drive from my place. Hmmmm.

Forget Blockbuster, Netflix is way better. (for me)

Yeah, there aren't very many. The closest one to me now is almost 12 miles.

Maybe there is only 22 in the area...

I haven't physically gone and rented a movie in years.

I'm like .0000002 miles away from one!

When we went opening weekend, we picked up tickets at the blockbuster in Swissvale which was right on the way for us. Blockbuster opened at 10, we got our tickets and were at Kennywood by 10:20. The park doesn't open until 10:30, so that gave us plenty of time.

The only caution that I give on doing that is the possibility of them running out of tickets. I am not sure if each location is given an allotment of tickets and therefore, they may run out...or do they just get more when they run out?!?! Someone from Pitt may be able to answer that better than myself.

No further explanation needed. I'm hopelessly lost.

From what I understand it's "while supplies last"

Who knows how true that is?

As Sean mentioned, the Blockbuster in Edgewood/Swissvale is right on the way to the park for most people, and has tickets.

They're also at the ones in Squirrel Hill (5 minute walk from my house) and East Liberty, at least. There may not be many Blockbusters in the area, but they syre seem to be concentrated around my house!

Also, I'm sitting here staring at a Pepsi can with a Kennywood coupon on it. $10 off two full admissions to Kennywood, Sandcastle, or Idlewild ($5 for one in small print), good any weekday until August 27th. That's not as good a deal as the Blockbuster tickets, but might be easier for some people to track down.

Well thanks for your help everyone. I got in touch with one of the Blockbusters and they said they have a ton of them and will have them until the beginning of June. Before my trip there I will just stop in and pick some up. If for some reason I run out of time, I'll remember to PM one of you. I appreciate your help guys. Thanks.
Did anyone else take up razore86 on his offer to purchase tickets? I paypaled the money and he hasn't responded back to any of my inquires since and I haven't seen the tickets.

Hoping this is just a communication breakdown...

I needed a good deal on tix too, and since I will be driving from Chicago to Kennywood, I would need a place to sleep as well. I found a deal where the Springhill Suites -- West Mifflin has a Kennywood package for $100, which includes two adult tix to Kennywood and breakfast. Also nice is that it is a huge room with a microwave and fridge too (so we can save more $ by bringing food with us).

I had heard about the Blockbuster deal some time ago, but was afraid they would run out as well by the time we arrived (on Sun the 20th). Also not sure if I would want to go driving around to find a BB after such a long drive. I get to the point on the way to park where I just want to get there already. This way we can just go. It just works best (IMO) having tix in advance.

Springhill Suites are cool.

$100 with 2 tix is an OUTSTANDING deal. My wife runs the SHS at the airport and they do $119 a night.

Factor in the tickets and you're only paying $40 for that room, which is absurd. Nice find.

If Blockbuster runs out (they're expected to "mid-June",) there are Pepsi cans all over the area with $5 off Ride All Day passes. Also Pepsi 24-packs have buy 2 tickets get 1 free coupons on them.
