The park was not crowded. Most of the flats were walkons, the wooden coasters were 10 munutes or less and the longest waits were the 15 to 30 minutes for Phantoms Revenge, Exterminator, Ghostwood Estate, Raging Rapids, and Pitt Fall (which had only one side operating). The weather was prefect.
I won't get into too many details because I have been here so often before. Ghostwood Estate is a welcome addition to the park. I rode it twice, not scoring well the first time but doing much better the second time through. This interactive darkride is nicely done and about the right length for such a ride. For all of you thrill seekers, Aero 360 is running and I rode it. This ride has new restraints more like those on Swing Shot and Pitt Fall. I don't believe that it is going away anytime soon. I rode all of the major coasters including 2 rides on Phantom and Jack Rabbit.
The food is much the same as usual, generally good and reasonably priced. Prices are slightly up (usually 10 to 20 cents an item) over last year in most cases except that popcorn went up 50 cents to $2.50. Is the ethanol boom causing this? I has lunch at Small Frys (chicken and Potato Patch Fries) as usual.
I did not play the games but they are still mostly $1. The main exception is their 3-point chalenge game called Around the World which costs $5 and involves 12 shots.
Because the school picnic season is over, there were fewer teens than usual. Many families with children were present. After 5 PM more young and middle age adults came into the park, apparently after they left work.
All in all another fun day at KW. I plan to return for an evening in August when it gets dark sooner allowing more riding after dark. *** Edited 6/28/2008 2:19:16 PM UTC by Arthur Bahl***
