Sorry to hear about your bad experience.
Being a native Pittsburgher I've grown up with Kennywood and "cut my teeth" on the Thunderbolt.
Please remember that most of the problem seemed to be with the PR person. Whenever I receive service like that I always make a point of getting the person's name and writing a letter(especially if the company has a reputation for good service).This might be good way to get a discount on a return trip. I think in your situation I would have at least asked to speak with her manager - he/she might have been much quicker to give you a discount.
Anyway, please don't let this experience sour you on Kennywood it really is a great park.
