razore86, it is my experience that the employees never handle it well. They are always irratated to the point that I won't ride if I am with a group of three or by myself.

Wow thanks, LOL! Yes we will be there for fright nights on October 7th. The night before PPP. I was there for the original fright nights and the second year. I haven't been last year or the year before. I will be there, let me know what you are gonna be operating and I will gladly say hello.

Hey eight- I won't ride the t-bolt if I am alone, I don't like asking anyone to stop their job for a ride. No biggie IMO.

I did however like the illusion that you crossed the track, when its all one and you end up on the other side, still wondering where it happened at?

It happens before you hit the lift hill.

If the opposing train is to your left in the station, it will be on your right as you climb the lift and vice versa.

Leaving the station is the only place the trains turn in opposite directions (and goes out and left to the lift, one goes out and right) - after that they turn the same direction throughout the course.

^Sometimes were not allowed to ride with single riders. When we are operating 1 train we must have 1 person to check bars - 2 trains / 2 people. If there are 2 trains on we would have to find you another single rider or have someone on the platform to ride twice - once with you and then again with there partner when they come back.

The only time I can think that I have personally gotten irratated is when the people in the rest of the train start getting mad because operation is being held up.

8.3- When is the last time you visited the park. Our crew has changed a bit within the last few weeks. Alot of people have gotten transferred off of the crew. Perhaps your next visit will be a more pleasant one.

Katie-When you visit make sure you check out the construction site for the new ride. It should be fully erected by your next visit.

^I will be with Katie pre-PPP at Kennywood. Looking forward to my first Fright Night!

Maybe I should yell "RAZORE 86, where are you?" :-)

Can we expect another "fly-by" Gonch cameo as well? ;-)

Heh, maybe.

It depends on my ability to obtain el-cheapo PFN entry, who wants to tag along and everybody's schedule. :)

The last couple of years we've gone pretty late in the month. PFN is 20 times better when it's cold out.

tix are I believe 18 or 18.50 for PFN Gonch at Giant Eagle. And it will be pretty nipply when we are there. I learned my lesson last PFN I was at. Need gloves your hands get extremely cold!

Katie, who can't wait for PFN!

Nothing like riding a coaster at night, in nippy, er *nipply* weather wearing gloves and a sweater.

Good times!

-Tina

Gonch, if I see you I will approach you this time, providing you don't get me all confused again by changing your hairstyle. ;-)

I think there $19.50 at the gate this year and $3 cheaper at Giant Eagle ($16.50).

^You won't have to yell that coasterqueen, lol - I'm the only one named "Mike" on the crew - lol

Ok, then. I will yell "MIKE!!!" :-)

$16.50 is dirt cheap considering what you get in return.

I want last year on when the weather turned warm suddenly, the park was packed and we got on two haunts and two rides the whole evening. I am going when its cold out this year. Heh.

razore86, I always have fun at the park, it is just the attitude of "Oh god, not again," when I say we have a single rider that I take issue with. I did notice a better crew on TB last visit, but I attributed it to a slower week night.

If anyone is remotely familiar with me, you know I'm as far from a bargain hunter as it gets. Hell, at full price it's a good deal. PFN is surprisingly well done and seems to get better year to year, but after we make our last visit to KW for this regular season we won't even have averaged $10 per person per visit. (who needs season passes? ;) )

It's just that we do a couple of visits to KW a year and going again for PFN isn't a priority.

To me, PFN is best with a large group (and all adult) and the idiots I associate with are more inclined to tag along if I'm hooking them up with a ridiculous deal. This makes pawning the kids off with Grandma and Grandpa a bit of an ordeal as they live 50 miles in the opposite direction of KW for me. (my PFN visits usually start around 4pm with a trip to drop the kids, then a meeting at our place, then driving from here to the park ,doing the park, then getting the kids and finally calling it done between 3 and 4 am)

Then on top of that, I'm lucky enough to know some very friendly and generous people who can help me out and always do even though they don't have to. Then on top of that, my wife works in the hospitality industry in the Pittsburgh area and you'd be surprised a what you can get your hands on in that position.

Bottom line, even though I'm the first to piss and moan about paying and shutting up or you get what you pay for or whatever, I still take the deal when available. PFN is a treat for us. Big people time with friends in a relaxed atmosphere as we're both from the area and have done the park countless times in our lives including twice this season. If I'm reduced to the Giant Eagle deal, I probably won't be at PFN this year.

I'm such a b*tch. :)

That would be a very friendly and generous thing to do even though you don't have to. ;)

^Gonch I will treat you to some PP fries (or a beer). :-) That's if I don't get lost in Pittsburgh again.

This may have been addressed before, but what do I do if I'm a single rider? I want to get on Thunderbolt and I'm willing to wait for a front row. What can I / should I do and what should I expect from the angry pre-paired-up throngs?

Going to Kennywood & Sandcastle & Pirates Game August 23 & 24 - Hershey August 25 and Knobles August 26 (first time for all except Hershey)

I CAN'T WAIT!
