Kennywood - June 19th

Since I have to work on Father's day I decided to take my son to Kennywood yesterday. They are working on the bridge going to the park in Swissvale that caused about a 1/2 hour delay. It rained the whole way to the park, but once we got into the parking lot it stopped and didn't rain again until we got back home to Canton, Oh.

My son, Alex, had never ridden an adult rollercoaster before. It was time to break him in. I got him to ride Jackrabbit, Racer and Thunderbolt. He would have nothing to do with Phantom's Revenge or Exterminator. I can't blame him, I don't really like either of those coasters either.

Overall we had a great day. We rode just about everything else in the park. I forgot how much I loved Bayrne Curve. Kennywood still continues to be on of my favorite parks. Great food, unique rides, and great atmosphere are the perfect recipe for an enjoyable afternoon.

They were passing out tickets to Sandcastle and Idlewild as you leave that got you into either of those parks for $10. The coupons were good until the end of June.

I knew that was coming...it's never any less funny, though. :)
