KennyKon and Leap the Dips 100

Are KennyKon on 5/25 and the Leap the Dips 100th on 5/26 ACE ONLY events? It looks as if KennyKon is open, but LTD is ACE ONLY. Anyone have any info?

According to my flyers (which I just received) they are both ACE only events, but Kennywood does allow non members (I do not know how many per member). Go here to view them (they are PDF format). Hope to see you there!

Actually, Kennykon is 5/26 and Leap-the-Dips Celebration is 5/27. A non-member can go to Kennykon, you'll just pay more than an ACE member would.

You can look at the the flyers here http://www.aceonline.org/events.htm

If you look at the Lakemount Park website Leap the Dips is open to the general public.

Sorry, Loriu. My bad. Didn't re-referrence my calendar. I'm off a day! I am taking an Ohio trip from 5/21-5/29 and we *Might* be interested in making our way into PA. There is a VERY good chance that we will head to Kennywood at some point during the trip. Most likely over Memorial Day weekend. As non-ACE members, it would be cool to go to the event anyways.

Would it be worth the extra drive to Lakemont for Leap the Dips? We are staying in a condo in Sandusky, so that gets us much further from home, although I have an aunt who lives in Indiana, PA (about 45min NE of Pittsburg) and we could probably crash there. Also an idea was to hit PKI on Tuesday after Memorial Day. If we go to Lakemont, that would probably scrap PKI from our trip altogether. Our flight home leaves Cleveland Wed mid-afternoon. Any ideas or suggestions?

Kennykon is a really good time and Kennywood is definately worth the trip.

Lakemont is a nice family park and Leap-the-Dips may not be the biggest or baddest, but it's a lot of fun. Lakemont would be about a 2.5 hour drive from Pittsburgh. It's about a 1.25 hour drive to Indiana and 5.5 hour drive from Sandusky.

I can say after being at PKI last year on Memorial Day weekend, it was crowded, but might be cleared out on Tuesday. If you are looking to ride a lot of coasters, I'd try to hit PKI at sometime.

Hope this helps.

Thx Loriu, you're a doll!
