KBF's skycoaster blocked?

SF blocked them from getting a skycoaster? How?

It's called an exclusivity contract. They(Skycoaster) can not erect another one of their devices within a certain parameter. KBF falls within that parameter. Doing so would be a breach of contract, resulting in litigation.
Thrilltime (skycoaster inc.) never should have agreed to that. They should have built at Knott's first. If SFMM wanted the skycoaster that bad they could have let them build @ Knott's. It's not like SF can build one without them, skycoaster holds the patent, right?

Just to let you know, Six Flags Magic Mountain's Dive Devil has been at the park since 1996. There were negotiations between Knott's and Six Flags to allow the farm to build the proposed SkyCoaster attraction that if had been built, would have been operatng since April 2001. But because of media difficulties and a certain quote placed in an article, Six Flags backed out of the agreement. But in a way, I'm a bit glad that a SkyCoaster didn't go into Knott's. Think of that poor skyline...
I am glad that we didn't get a skycoaster. I hope that they use the land well, since Knotts doesn't have much land to work with anyway.
If it were me, I would put a darkride in there. Perhaps a western themed shooting darkride like MIB at USF.

didn't the same thing keep knott's from getting a spaceshot on supreme scream because there was already one planned at california adventure?
NO. Supreme Scream opened in 1998.
No, that is why there are no spaceshots on Supreme Scream. Disney had a non-compede, or so I heard.
All I've heard was SF blocked KBF from getting a skycoaster and KBF has a replacement. I think the replacement is a skyscraper( like the Katanga Skyscraper).

That's true. Knott's planning and design team originally planned for a four-legged, two space shot, two turbo drop tower for the park. It was to be patterned after the Power Tower at Cedar Point, which was in construction at that time, but Disney's California Adventure, which was in planning phases in 1998, had already reserved the right for the space shot model in that certain zoning area.
