KBFs Coaster Solace attendees MUST be club members

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, I just got off the phone with Crystal from Knott's, who is helping to put together Winter Coaster Solace, and the framework that they currently have in place, everyone that attends must be a member of a coaster club of some sort. Yes, you read that right- no guests that are not members of some sort of coaster club!

That may change this next week, but for right now that's the official word.

She's still working into the position, and they're still putting things together with the PR department and others. But since Dana, who organized everything last year, is not there anymore, a lot of what they are doing is being done from scratch. Enough so that Crystal didn't even have a list of current coaster organizations outside of ACE, so I helped her to fill in her list somewhat.

If you've got questions or concerns, I'll be happy to relay them to Crystal. Or if you really want to talk to her yourself, I can give you her number, or if you look around you can find it easy enough. I'd just hate to see her get swamped phone calls all asking the same thing. She's aware of the concerns and the policies from last year, and they still have ongoing meetings taking place about it where she will bring it up and it will be discussed. So this might change in the next week or two. But be prepared.

Hopefully this will change, or they're going to have some upset people. (Myself and my group are fine, but not everyone can say that)

I'm just bringing one person, and trying to convince her to join a club is the whole reason I'm bringing her.

Isn't this the way it's always been?

Far as I understand, the last couple of years they've allowed you to bring in a couple of guests that were not members of coaster clubs, as long as they were "escorted" by someone who was a member of a club. That's the apparent change this year.

And I know of at least a couple of people that will have problems with their plans if this stays in place.

Sometimes it's up. Sometimes it's down.
But with God, life is one thrill ride that you'll never regret being on.

Well for $20 anyone can become a member of Coasterbuzz and the problem is solved!

Sig under construction!

As long as coasterbuzz sends the cards out by March 1st. BTW, wasn't WCS on weekdays before? Thats like a full day of ERT.

If you want to go as a CoasterBuzz Club member, just be sure to sign-up early. I generally print cards every two to four weeks.

...stay tuned.....as things MAY change. Since there is a new person at the park coordinating, they may want to gather input from ACE about running this type of event.

Still, the BEST best is to get a C'Buzz membership NOW, and be on the safe side...

Of course there are also several other options for clubs out there to if Coasterbuzz isn't your choice for whatever reason. CoasterZombies, GOCC, FCC, and several others area all also valid other options. :)
Just got a reply from Knott's...

"Each member of the Roller Coaster club may purchase one ticket for themselves
and bring three guests. A total of four tickets."

:)

Still think it's a great idea to join CBuzz Club and help Jeff support the site. Just sayin' is all....
Yep, just wanted to confirm that it's up to 3 guests for every card carrying member. Talked to Crystal today and that's what was decided after a meeting this morning.

Happy to hear that they made the change to. I had a feeling that they would (thus why I said in the original post that it would likely change) but wanted to give everyone a heads up, just in case.
