Hello Coaster Fans,
Well, it was so nice to be in 75’ weather away from snow and the sun was shining! I just visited SFMM the day before and in the morning of today (the 31st). So I don’t know what I was expecting. Just hoping to have fun!
I have heard much about the park, but nothing about outside it. I was VERY amazed at how the park looked like it was fit nice and snugly in a downtown area. (no sign of “use to be a farm look”). Reminds me of the strip at Niagra Falls where everything and anything is going on.
Parking was a little tricky took 2 laps around the park (almost all lots full) then we found the actual KBF parking. Didn’t know there was a shopping strip right at the entrance…nice touch (those people have to rake in the dough). We got our $20 tickets at Food for Less in CA (I myself had a CP pass and this was the last day I could use it…sniff sniff). They couldn’t swipe it at the door, but guest relations made me sign a form and whala, I was in. I was VERY impressed with the park. Rides, themeing, atmosphere, layout, etc. We were greeted right when we walked in and handed a map. We headed first off to Ghostrider. I loved the line nice theming taken care of. And best of all NO WAIT!! We got in the front seat and a sat down…Everything about this ride is good, pull out of the station, airtime, finish, etc.! It was like I was riding a little bit better version of Villain at SFO. The only thing I think that separates the two is Villain has one or two more hills that are rampy. Ghostrider has that cool helix. And Villain has the cool trick track and double up finish. But Ghostrider is worth the trip it self!! Awesome ride!!
I was very impressed with how nice all the employees were and you couldn’t leave the park without learning some piece of heritage of information. Great for the families! They all fit there themed areas very nicely.
