KBF and SFMM Questions

How are the lines at these parks on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday in mid-July? Do either parks have ERT? How can I get into the ERT? What is the current status on X and Xcelerator? What other rides might be down in mid-July? Does Flashback even open up at night if the waterpark is open in the day? Thanks!!!

ERT in SoCal?? You must be joking! Knott's Winter Coaster Solace is about the only RET you'll ever find on a regular basis, and that's only once a year.

Flashback will probably be closed all day, but seriously, it's not worth losing sleep over. It's as bad as you've heard.

-------------
Nothing... NOTHING... can prepare you for... the Fourth Dimension!

Xcelerator is running 1 train (2 trains wouldn't help as much as 2 boats help on perilous plunge believe it or not). Mechanics were checking out the yellow train while i was there. it doesn't seem to short shot as much anymore (i wanted to see what the riders would say) but it did once but it got better immediately. there are tons and tons or ride attendents (6 for only 20 riders) and many queue control ppl and ride ops (the suits were running and attending the ride on sunday for some time0 just 2 of them). Expect waits to be 20-30 minutes. Don't wait for the front other wise you'll have a 2 hour wait.

anything else?

Do KBF and SFMM lines die down at any certian time of the day?

I personally don't care if Flashback is the spawn of Psyclone, I just wanted ONE ride.....how many trips to SoCal must I make to get this coaster.....

-----------------
if you aren't outraged, perhaps you haven't been paying attention...

Just rid Deja, then S:TE and do the park in a counter clockwise fashion, later hitting up Goldrusher and Ninja.

One possitive to 1 train operation: no stacking! ( we hope)
any other responses

If you don't get to DejaVu first thing in the morning, be prepared for a long, long wait. For some reason, the flumes at SFMM aren't too busy, but the raft ride can also get a seriously long wait...(it'd be better if they'd FILL the rafts). Psyclone, despite the name, is an unnatural disaster....when two coasters sit next to each other, 1 with a 2-hour wait and the other a walk-on, does that say something about ride quality? Goliath is awesome and carries a decent wait, but not interminable. Colossus never has a wait, it's OK. RRv is an awesome stand-up, one of the top two. Enjoy your day!

Oh, and that other park.....I can't talk about.....:(:(:(

anything else? come on i leave in a few days!

-----------------

Same here, I need to know about some Knotts and Sfmm info before i leave. It'll be the 10th when I do. Answers!!???
Xcelerator has now been running both trains for the past few days already...

What can I do in Knotts cause I only have about 7 hours there???? I want to do atleast Xcelerator, Ghostrider, and Perilous Plunge. But I'd like to do Montezuma, Boomerang, and Supreme Scream. Do you think that's enough time for 7 hours there on I think a Tuesday or Wednesday, Dunno yet, thanks...

Alright nevermind, now we have 6 hours lol. I just looked on the Knotts page and We'll be there sometime in this month betwe the 21-24 soo, well I thought that they were open to 11 but I guess not. It's 10pm, so umm now I'm even shorter on time.

About Sfmm, I'm going there before Knotts and will be there 1.5 days so I'm not worried about missing out on anything. I hope X is running but I dought it. We'll be at Sfmm Sunday, Monday, or a Tuesday. So what kind of lines do you think I can expect from these parks considering these things. I'd like to get re-rides at Knotts but highly dought I'll beable to.

well, Knott's DOES have a really cool flat ride called Tampico Tumbler....even with a group of twenty ACErs, no one had seen the ride at another park....and it is one kick-butt ride.....also, if you are a count "ho", make sure and get Timberline Twister...solid *junior* steel....

On the subject if the little coasters, Canyon Blaster at SFMM features an ending of bunnies reminiscent of HSTC at Knoebel's....:). Both parks have outstanding log flumes....

Kool, well the log flumes have long lines though don't they. I dought we'll ride those. My family doesnt really care for water rides but I'm forcing them to go on Perilous Plunge.

Do you think we'd beable to do all that at Knotts with only 6 hours?? Like all the coasters, Supreme Scream, Perilous Plunge, and possible Tampico Tumbler or Hammerhead.

The log ride at Knotts will habe less than a 25 minute wait. if the queue starts at the frozen lemonade stand right where the overflow queue ends, the queue will be less than 15 minutes.

ride perilous plunge when you see the water come back on after a brakedown. or at night for minimal queue time. perilous plunge's queue is usually less than 1 hour even with the over the shoulder straps. xclerator should be ridden sometime. less than a 25 minute queue. ghostrider will have a 60 minute queue all day long. get in line at 9:50, but ask the ride op when you arrive when the queue will close.

don't bother riding tampico tumbler. the line will be at least 35 minutes if you don't see a swarm of ride ops. jaguar can also be cut off your list if there is no one in your party under 12. ride bommerang after 8-little or no line. ride bigfoot in the evening around 7. ride monte towards the evening.

Keep in mind it closes at 9 pm or so and will not open until the park operations dept. clears it to open again, even if the park's only open another 15 minutes. this is due to the electroblast showing.

arrive at 3:30, get parking wherever they direct you, use the restroom, buy your ticket, and enter at 4 pm sharp.

i still can't get over the factt that you're not staying all day long (you'd get to ride every thing twice over). It is only 3 bucks more when you buy your tickets at the supermarket.
