Associated parks:
None

Well, I didn't stay here for too long, because it was already 4 by the time I arrived! However, since it had been raining all day, my roommate and I decided to go for the last two hours.

This was probably the best trip I've ever had there in such a short amount of time. Ghostrider was running with about 6 people on each train. We sat in the back, and they let us stay on for 3 trips. The ride is running better than ever, and the roof actually makes it more interesting!

Montezooma's revenge was even worse. The ride ops were just sitting there talking. NOBODY was going on the ride. We sat in the back, and were the only two on the whole train. It was kind of fun when they said, "riders, enjoy your ride," because they were talking to only us! Anyway, going up that tower at the end and putting my hands and feet up into the cold air on an empty train just rocked. We sat on for two more trips.

I had to force my roommate to go on supreme scream, and it was more of the same. Just us going on it three times, because there were only 4 people on the whole ride. The other two guys had apparently stayed on for more than an hour.

Again, we were the only ones on Boomerang, and it ran really smooth. The picture was so hilarious, because the train was empty, and we decided to look extremely scared. I had to buy it.

We ran over to Ghostrider for one more trip, and it was running extremely fast now, in the dark. THis time the train was half full! We got on the last ride of the day, and the park closed, so they kicked us off.

The day was really cool, and there were probably only 100 people in the park. I can't understand why they leave it open everyday of the week, not that I'm complaining. I guess no one went because of all the rain. Who knows? I would think they would loose money to leave it open. Oh well, at least I had fun!

Dude, I was there too! I arrived at about 4:15 and sat in the 6th car for 8 laps in a row. I guess we were right next to each other and never knew it. I was the tall, long red haired guy. (click "info," I have a mugshot up)

I heard an employee give the daily headcount of guests. At noon, it was a whopping 159 guests!! And you thought DCA was dead!!

It was really creepy walking around the park with literally NOBODY else there. It was like a ghost town, pun intended!

Wow! YOu guys live in a great state to have parks open all year 'round! Nice trip report--makes me want to plan a trip to CA in the "off-season" :)
Hey soggy, I think I saw you. I was the tall guy with the Biola University sweatshirt, and making the really annoying noises during the ride. I sat in the back row. You got off of Ghostrider after my first trip, and said you were going to take a break to the ride op. I thought it might be you, but I wasn't sure. Oh well. Next time I see you there, I will say hey. *** This post was edited by saviourmachine on 2/15/2001. ***
Sound like when I was there in january, only with even fewer people. I didn't think a park could run with fewer people than who were there the day i was. Soggy would know. Also, Ghostridder is my curent number one, atleast until SFA's ROAR gets finished with its train rehabs.

Peace, Love, and Rollercoasters.........we need more of all three.
I was there a week later. It was semi- crowded. Ghostrider was like an hour long. Montezoomas, Jaguar, and Boomerangs lines were pretty short.Supreme Scream had a line though.
We went again today. My advice: if it has been raining, but isn't anymore, GO! My roommate looked at each other the second it stopped raining, and said, "We HAVE to go to knott's!" In 90 minutes we got: 4 rides on ghostrider, 1 on supreme scream, 1 on Grand slammer, 1 on Jaguar, and 5 on Montezooma's! What a wonderful day!
