Just rode Sheikra- awesome

I got to be a guinnea pig and rode it twice after the park closed tonight. All i can say is WOW! This ride is amazing. The ride up the lift itself is amazing since it is so high up and you go up at 45 degrees. Then when you get to the top the little spin is agonizingly slow. It was night-time and you could see tampa lit up for miles and miles. Then you get to the drop and as you start to face straight down you stop. Then it fees like forever even though its just a few seconds then...WHooSH, S-T-R-A-I-G-H-T down and its going so fast and theres nothing you can do about it. The second drop may not be as high, but trust me it is just as intense. All in all the ride is quite simply amazing, and when you are looking up at what you are about to go on while waiting in the queue house, you will get those butterflies in your stomach. I will be interseted to ride the ride in the day time as i couldnt really see where i was going, but i could definately feel it. I was so excited to be able to ride it so soon and estimate that i was at least one of the first 60 or 70 to ride.

Thanks for posting Swamprac3r, I'll get down for SheiKra ASAP....:)

bill, hoping the midcourse is set more at a "tap tap tap" and less of a screeching HALT...

Lucky you. I can't wait to ride this thing later in the year!
What row / seat were you in? How did the non-inverted-coaster Immelman feel?

This is the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy

^Probably just like a dive loop taken the other direction.
I'm jealous. I'm SO looking forward to riding it though this November.

*Also, I miss the butterflies feeling (haven't had them since my first ride on TTD, which also happened to be rollback). Yeah for nervousness and excitement :)

I was in the third row, the last one. I sat in the third seat inward from the right. I can say that the general opinion was that there is no bad seat. It is theater style seating so everyone has a view. people say it is true that if you sit in one of the outside two seats on either side the feeling when you look down is amzing since you are hanging so far over and cannot see the track below you (the car is eight seats wide). In the back row, when they stop you at the top of the first drop, you are not facing as straight down as the first two rows as the third row is hinged from the front two. So instead of looking straight down you are looking kind of out and then when the free-fall starts you are kind of whipped over. I'm not really a coaster expert, but i guess the immelman is the part where you kind of loop back upside-downish after the first drop(?), well that was cool. The really cool thing i think is how when you are watching the cars coasting along the track it looks so calm as it slows to a smooth crawl at the top of the immelman(?). I think this is in part due to the fact that the cars are so short and they're not making as much of a roaring noise and whipping around. But when you are riding it, there is definately no trainquility, this ride is very intense. Also, when you come to a stop at the top of the first drop, its almost a double clutch, and it gets you thinking you are going to get released the first time, but no it catches again and the four seconds is an eternity. Also, since they are still doing construction there was a lot of dirt and dust in the air, so we all got a face full of dirt on the way down but it wasnt too bad. I almost got to ride again tonight but at the last second they said that they needed to do some other stuff instead so no luck there.
