Why are people so stupid to list a coaster that isn't even beyond it's footer's being poured as being in thier track record??
Just wondering... (Check SFMM's X stats.. same with Deja Vu)

Cos they're saving themselves the hassle of listing them once they've ridden 'em!

I've added 'Y' to my track record - the sequel to 'X' due to debut in 2010 at 500ft tall with 78 flips!
We've talked about this before, and I've never understood it myself. The people who list coasters that they're planning on riding are just guessing that they'll get to. There are lots of coasters that I've planned to ride and have never gotten to.

I admit that I have some, but CoasterGod's right, I do plan to ride them. Last year, I had an older account an I had ridden so many new coasters that I didn't have time to put them in.
Well 'techincally' there is nothing that says that you should wait to actually ride the thing. I dont think it is "stupid" to list rides like that, but then again, I dont put much faith into track records anyway. If there hadn't been a space specifically here for it, it would have never crossed my mind to list all my ridden coasters. So like I said, I dont pay a great deal of attention to them.

I was wondering that too. Of course, there are a few coasters on my "record" that I can't list because they are no longer operating and are not on the "official" list on this site. As far as listing coasters "I hope to Ride"... well then my count would be near 100 instead of 35.
What even confuses me more is people who "rate" coasters even before they are built. There is another web site (I won't mention names) where you can rate coasters 1-10. Last year, even before any construction beyond footers was complete, several people on the other site had given Hershey's Lightning Racer a rating around 5 (once it was completed and people actually rode it the rating jumped to around 7.7 or 8).

I promise I won't go off on a rant about those @#$%^&*! Toboggan's again.
