Jury sides with Disney over alleged California Screamin' injuries

A Southern California jury rejected a claim on Monday by a surgeon who said a whiplash injury suffered on the California Screamin' roller coaster at California Adventure park left him unable to practice medicine.

Most personal injury lawyers normally take cases on contingency fees. If they insist on charging legal fees in the event of a loss, then they probably figure that their chance of winning the case is slim.

Note that lawyer's taking cases on contingency do charge for "expenses". This covers most everything except lawyers time. Expenses might include detectives, copying costs, expert witnesses,etc. Expenses can be well into 5 figures on a typical personal injury case.

As if you COULD even get whiplash on California Screamin'! It's one of the most fun, yet family-enough, rides around that doesn't do the least bit of head-banging. An Intamin masterpiece...the way I remember Revolution before SF *ruined* it.
